Tasting Notes

Expect vibrant currant and raisin notes, balanced with deep chocolate and a touch of citrus, making this blend perfect for starting your day or enjoying as an afternoon treat.

Roast Profile

Medium roast to bring out the natural sweetness of the fruit and the rich body of the chocolate.

Origin

Sourced from Murang’a County, Kenya, where smallholder farmers grow SL 28 and SL 34 varietals at high altitudes of 1,700-1,800 MASL in fertile red volcanic soils.

Processing Method

The coffee is handpicked, pulped, and fully washed using fresh clean water before being sun-dried on raised beds, ensuring a clean, rich flavour profile.

Recommended Brew Methods

Espresso: Enjoy the bold, fruity notes balanced by a smooth chocolate finish.
French Press: Brew it strong and full-bodied, highlighting the rich flavour profile.
Pour Over: For a lighter cup, accentuating the citrus and fruit notes.

Sustainability

The Royal Highness blend is produced by farmers at the Ruchu Factory, which is part of the Ruchu Gacharage Farmers Cooperative Society. These farmers work in harmony with nature, using sustainable methods to produce high-quality coffee beans.

Brewing Tips

For espresso, we recommend using 18-20 grams of coffee with a brewing temperature between 93-95°C to achieve the perfect extraction. Adjust grind size for French press or pour over to suit your taste.

Flavour Profile

Juicy currants, raisins, dark chocolate, and a refreshing citrus finish – a beautifully balanced and vibrant coffee experience.
